Education is an important factor contributing towards having desirable life outcomes such that those who are unable to acquire some level of education are more likely to be dependent on others through life. Prevalence of school drop-out among young people is growing especially in the rural areas and among economically disadvantage persons especially girls. Efforts towards ensuring equity in provision and access to educational services for young people includes scholarships and material support in form of books and other study materials. Preference is given to girls who struggle in rural communities to attain some education.
